Drie organisaties richtten zich op cliënten die intramuraal behandeld/ begeleid werden (Dimence, GGNet en RIBW Overijssel), MEE Samen selecteerde cliënten met een WLZ-indicatie die zij kortdurend begeleidden. De selectie werd gedaan door professionals cliënten te laten aandragen en door een open oproep onder cliënten en familieraden. We hielden rekening met:\n-\tdiversiteit t.a.v. demografische kenmerken/ culturele achtergrond;\n-\tdiversiteit in netwerk van naasten, familie en mantelzorgers.\nDe vier organisaties hebben voor de werving ieder een coördinator aangesteld. Om zoveel mogelijk mensen te bereiken hebben we berichten geplaatst op Intranet, de LinkedIn pagina van het lectoraat GGz & Samenleving en in verschillende nieuwsbrieven; de coördinatoren hebben het project gepresenteerd in teams door de hele organisatie heen; en we hebben online informatiebijeenkomsten georganiseerd. Hulpmiddelen waren een informatieflyer waarop we alle projectinformatie helder uitlegden en wervingsflyers voor naasten/ cliënten en voor professionals om hen te enthousiasmeren.\nRespondenten voor de enquête zijn geworven via de coordinatoren van de deelnemende instellingen. QR-codes en links naar de vragenlijst zijn opgehangen in wachtkamers, verspreid via familietijdschriften, op het intranet gezet, via LinkedIn verspreid, via teammanagers uitgezet en uitgeprint op afdelingen verspreid.\n\nFor the interviews, the four organizations (MEE Samen, Dimence, GGNet and RIBW Overijssel) each looked for five triangles: a combination of a client, an informal care giver and a professional working together. Three organizations focused on clients who received intramural treatment/ support (Dimence, GGNet and RIBW Overijssel), MEE Samen selected clients with a WLZ indication whom they supported for a shorter period of time. The selection was done by having professionals suggest clients and by an open call among clients and family councils. We took into account:\n- diversity with respect to demographic characteristics/cultural background;\n- diversity in network of relatives and caregivers.\nThe four organizations each appointed a coordinator for recruitment. To reach as many people as possible, we posted messages on Intranet, the LinkedIn page of the research group GGz & Samenleving and in various newsletters; the coordinators presented the project in teams throughout the organization; and we organized online information sessions. Tools were an information flyer on which we clearly explained all project information and recruitment flyers for informal care givers/ clients and for professionals to enthuse them.\nRespondents for the survey were also recruited through the coordinators of the participating institutions. We streefden naar het betrekken van driehoeken van een client, een naastbetrokkene en een professional. In de praktijk troffen we cliënten die niemand anders wilden betrekken, naasten die bang waren dat de client te kwetsbaar was, professionals die geen tijd hadden voor dit project, situaties waarin het eerder om een kwartet dan een trio ging, en ga zo maar door. Een nauwe samenwerking tussen de drie partijen was duidelijk niet vanzelfsprekend. \nDaarbij bleek het interviewen van cliënten lastig te zijn. Door de ernstige en langdurige psychiatrische problematiek, was het voeren van een uitgebreid en diepgaand gesprek niet altijd mogelijk. Hierbij hielpen creatieve werkvormen, zoals het tekenen van de positie van de client, de naaste en de professional ten opzichte van elkaar. Hierbij vroegen we naar de huidige en de gewenste situatie.\n\nIn conducting the interviews, we noticed that finding 'triangles' was difficult. We aimed to involve triangles of a client, an informal care giver and a professional. In practice, we encountered clients who did not want to involve anyone else, loved ones who were afraid the client was too vulnerable, professionals who did not have time for this project, situations where it was a quartet rather than a trio, and so on. Close cooperation between the three parties was clearly not a given. \nIn addition, interviewing clients proved difficult. Because of the serious and long-term psychiatric problems, conducting an extensive and in-depth interview was not always possible. Creative methods, such as drawing the position of the client, the informal care giver and the professional in relation to each other, helped.
