Daar maakte zij angst, onzekerheid en verlies mee; haar moeder overleed in het kamp. Na de oorlog werd zij van haar broertje gescheiden, verbleef zij onder meer in ziekenhuizen en kampen, en reisde uiteindelijk per schip naar
