In 2005 is, in het kader van de 60ste herdenking van de bevrijding van Venlo, de serie uitgezonden door Omroep Venlo in het radioprogramma Venlo Plus.<br><br>In het tweede deel van deze serie spreekt Charles van den Berg met Will Wijnen uit Venlo. Hij is geboren in 1925 te Venlo. Op zijn 18e wordt hij als dwangarbeider op transport gesteld naar Moenchen-Gladbach. Daar werd hij te werk gesteld in een fabriek. Hij verbleef daarna, eind 1943, een week in kamp Erika in Ommen en aansluitend drie maanden in kamp Amersfoort. Daarna verblijft hij drie maanden in een zogeheten Erziehungslager in Duisburg. Tijdens het bombardement op Duisburg in het najaar van 1944 weet hij te ontsnappen en vlucht richting Venlo. Uiteindelijk is door de Amerikanen bevrijd en kwam terug in Venlo. Hier werd hij welkom geheten door het ontluizingscomité in Huize Nazareth.
