Zij verzorgde haar moeder en moest veel verhuizen. Door spullen te verkopen kwam zij aan geld. De geïnterviewde vertelt over bersiap tijd. Het was een angstige tijd en zij werd weer het huis uit gezet. De geïnterviewde vertelt over haar familie en over verschillende ervaringen van Indië.</p><p>1213.2 De geïnterviewde vertelt in meer detail over de periode vlak voor de oorlog. Zij deed administratief werk. De geïnterviewde vertelt over de periode rond de soevereiniteitsoverdracht. Ze vond het een angstige tijd. Het was een opluchting, maar ook een afscheid, om Indonesië te verlaten voor Nieuw-Guinea.</p><p>1213.3 De geïnterviewde vertelt over het leven van haar gezin in Nieuw-Guinea. Ze gaat in op de sociale omstandigheden, de gebruiken en het werk.</p><p>1213.4 De geïnterviewde vertelt in dit gesprek verder over haar ervaringen van Nieuw-Guinea. Ze gaat in op de sociale contacten die zij en haar man hadden en wat aan er sociale activiteiten te doen was. Tot slot gaat zij in op het definitieve vertrek naar Nederland.</p><p>De echtgenoot van de geïnterviewde is ook geïnterviewd voor het SMGI-project. Zie interview 1214. Men koos ervoor om geen onderzoeksproject op te zetten, maar om zich te concentreren op het verzamelen van de verhalen van mensen vanuit archiveringsoogpunt als basis voor toekomstig onderzoek.
