Ze beschrijft de aanloop naar de Japanse bezettingstijd. Ze vertelt ook waarom het begin van de bezetting erg chaotisch was en hoe haar familie wist rond te komen.</p><p>1582.2 De geïnterviewde vertelt over haar opleiding en werk. Tijdens de oorlog zat zij op de kweekschool. Tijdens de bezetting viel ze in als onderwijzeres en werkte hierna in de verpleging in een school die als hospitaal werd ingericht. De geïnterviewde schetst een beeld van de bezettingstijd. Zij werd zelf twee keer opgepakt door de Japanners. Tot slot gaat de geïnterviewde in op de bevrijding en de boycot van de Nederlanders. Men koos ervoor om geen onderzoeksproject op te zetten, maar om zich te concentreren op het verzamelen van de verhalen van mensen vanuit archiveringsoogpunt als basis voor toekomstig onderzoek.
