Toen zij een officier onderdak had geboden werd zij opgepakt en in de gevangenis gezet. Ze beschrijft het leven in de gevangenis, wat zij deelde met een groep andere Hollandse vrouwen. Na de bevrijding zocht zij haar kinderen op en vetrok naar Nederland.</p><p>1264.2 De geïnterviewde vertelt verder over de tijd in de gevangenis. Na de bevrijding werkte zij op het RAPWI-kantoor. Zij vertrok naar Nederland, maar omdat haar man gevraagd werd administrateur te worden in Indië keerde ze weer terug. Ze woonde in Bandoeng en was tijdens de politionele acties met twee van haar kinderen in Nederland. Men koos ervoor om geen onderzoeksproject op te zetten, maar om zich te concentreren op het verzamelen van de verhalen van mensen vanuit archiveringsoogpunt als basis voor toekomstig onderzoek.
