Na de zware oorlogsjaren ging hij eerst als vrijwilliger werken voor de RAPWI en later op vliegveld Andir. Op Borneo volgde hij daarna de herstel-Mulo en werd marconist op de kleine vaart. In 1950 ging hij met zijn vader mee naar Nederland. Met de Limburgse jagers is hij in 1953 vrijwillig uitgezonden naar de oorlog in Korea. Hij hoopte op avontuur, maar kwam opnieuw terecht in een keiharde oorlog, waarin veel doden en gewonden vielen. De geïnterviewden hebben bijgedragen aan een schat aan informatie voor onder andere beleidsmakers, onderzoekers, media en het geïnteresseerde publiek.</p><p>Onderstaand treft u de links naar de metadata van alle interviews. De  interviews zijn om privacyredenen alleen na toestemming van het Veternanen Instituut toegankelijk.
