Jonkman naar it Leewarders is in Leeuwarden  tussen januari en maart 1988 een enquête uitgevoerd. Daarvoor werd op peildatum 1 januari 1988 door de gemeente Leeuwarden een systematische steekproef met een random begin uitgevoerd in het computerbestand van de inwoners van de stad Leeuwarden van 12 jaar en ouder. Dat leverde bruto 500 steekproefelementen op.
