Slachtoffers van misdrijven kunnen (indien gewenst) voor praktische, emotionele, juridische en financiële ondersteuning terecht bij diverse instanties, functionarissen en hulpverleners. Tezamen vormen deze een netwerk van slachtofferhulp.

De zorg voor slachtoffers van misdrijven in het strafproces heeft sinds de invoering van de Wet en de richtlijn Terwee in 1995 meer nadruk gekregen. Deze richtlijn is inmiddels vervangen door de Aanwijzing Slachtofferzorg.

Deze legt de nadruk op de volgende vijf punten:
1. het informeren van het slachtoffer
2. de bejegening van het slachtoffer
3. de positie van het slachtoffer in het strafproces
4. de mogelijkheid tot het verhalen van door het slachtoffer geleden schade
5. samenwerking tussen partijen in de slachtofferzorg.

De Aanwijzing Slachtofferzorg veronderstelt dat door goede samenwerking, informatieverstrekking, correcte bejegening en de mogelijkheid tot het verhalen van geleden schade de positie van het slachtoffer te versterken is. Een groeiende tevredenheid van slachtoffers met de geboden sachtofferzorg moet dit aantonen.

Deze dataset bevat de gegevens van de eerste meting van onderzoek naar de tevredenheid van slachtoffers over de slachtofferzorg.
