De geïnterviewde vertelt vervolgens over zijn ervaringen van de gewelddadige bersiap waarin hij werd vastgehouden door Indonesiërs.</p><p>1594.2 De geïnterviewde vertelt eerst nog over de periode tot aan het einde van de bersiap en vertelt vervolgens over periode vanaf 1951. De geïnterviewde zat bij het KNIL en gaat in 1951 via Nederland naar Nieuw-Guinea. Men koos ervoor om geen onderzoeksproject op te zetten, maar om zich te concentreren op het verzamelen van de verhalen van mensen vanuit archiveringsoogpunt als basis voor toekomstig onderzoek.
