Daarin worden de opvattingen gepeild van de Nederlandse bevolking ten aanzien van emancipatie-onderwerpen. Dit onderzoek is sinds de Emancipatiemonitor 2000 steeds eens per twee jaar uitgevoerd.<br>Aan de Nederlandse bevolking vanaf 16 jaar worden stellingen over emancipatie-onderwerpen voorgelegd, gecombineerd met enkele vragen over taakverdeling, economische zelfstandigheid en achtergrondkenmerken (zoals onder meer geslacht, leeftijd, huishoudensamenstelling, opleidingsniveau en inkomen).<br>De EMOP 2014 bevat daarnaast ook vragen over onderhandelen, ambities en tijdsdruk.<br>Het onderzoek is via een mixed-mode aanpak uitgevoerd waarbij de vragenlijst online en schriftelijk werd afgenomen. De steekproef is zodanig verdeeld dat 5% gerealiseerd wordt via het offline panel en de rest via het online panel.
