Deze doorgewinterde marinier werd als OMLT-lid  uitgezonden naar Uruzgan. Het OMLT, Operational Mentor and Liaison Team, was een onderdeel dat Afghaanse militairen moest opleiden. Hij behoorde tot de derde groep van 24 mariniers die erheen gestuurd werd. Soms ging hij het gebied in voor bevoorrading. Eenmaal is hij in deze uitzending getuige geweest van een ernstig verlopen situatie van friendly fire. Verschillende militairen kwamen om in deze periode. De geïnterviewden hebben bijgedragen aan een schat aan informatie voor onder andere beleidsmakers, onderzoekers, media en het geïnteresseerde publiek.</p><p>Onderstaand treft u de links naar de metadata van alle interviews. De  interviews zijn om privacyredenen alleen na toestemming van het Veternanen Instituut toegankelijk.
