In 1946 werd hij korporaal en ging hij als kwartiermaker naar Indië. De geïnterviewde vertelt over de reis en gaat in op de onrust omtrent de militaire inzet. De geïnterviewde beschrijft zijn ervaringen van de strijd, hij kwam geregeld in beschietingen terecht.</p><p>1288.2 De geïnterviewde vertelt over de veelsoortigheid van de dienstplichtige militairen van het 3-7 RI. De geïnterviewde vertelt verder over de strijd. Het werd duidelijk dat de tegenstander niet te overwinnen viel. De geïnterviewde gaat in op de eerste en tweede politionele actie en vertelt over zijn intense ervaringen van de strijd. Men koos ervoor om geen onderzoeksproject op te zetten, maar om zich te concentreren op het verzamelen van de verhalen van mensen vanuit archiveringsoogpunt als basis voor toekomstig onderzoek.
