Ze vertelt over de Japanse bezetting. Tijdens de bersiap tijd woonde ze met haar familie in een beschermde wijk. Na 1949 ging zij met haar man naar Nieuw-Guinea. De geïnterviewde beschrijft de situatie daar en gaat in op het contact met de Papoea's.</p><p>1120.2 De geïnterviewde vertelt de over sociale activiteiten in Nieuw-Guinea en beschrijft de cultuur. Ze woonde met haar man op verschillende plaatsen. De geïnterviewde was in Fakfak toen  Indonesische militairen binnenvielen. Men koos ervoor om geen onderzoeksproject op te zetten, maar om zich te concentreren op het verzamelen van de verhalen van mensen vanuit archiveringsoogpunt als basis voor toekomstig onderzoek. Tussen 1997 en 2001 zijn er 1190 interviews met 724 mensen opgenomen, in totaal 2800 uur aan geluidsmateriaal.</p><p>Een overzicht van het project en de interviews in EASY vindt u onder 'Data files'.</p><p>De interviews worden bij DANS duurzaam bewaard, maar worden (voorlopig) door het KITLV zelf ontsloten.
