Dit comité bracht in 2009 een advies uit aan het Bazenbondje over het voortbestaan van de vereniging. Adviespunten waren onder andere het versterken van het ondernemersnetwerk, het toelaten van vrouwen tot de vereniging en het instandhouden van de doelstelling zonder daar verder invulling aan te geven. Het interview gaat ook over de cultuur van Nieuwendam en de manier van doen in de vereniging. Ondanks de kredietcrisis van 2007-2008 is niet overwogen om de oorsponkelijke functie weer te reactiveren. De noodzaak daartoe was nog niet zo doorgedrongen.
