De geïnterviewde leefde in een Europese gemeenschap. In 1925 vertrok zij naar Nederland, maar keerde later weer terug.</p><p>1312.2 In de jaren 30 reisde de geïnterviewde met haar man mee naar Indië. Ze vertelt hoe ze woonde en hoe zij hulp kreeg van bedienden. In de periode na 1936 kregen ze het ruimer en werden ze lid van de golfclub en de sociëteit. De geïnterviewde vertelt hoe zij het begin van de bezetting ervoer. Haar man werd naar Thailand getransporteerd. Zij kwam ook in een kamp. De geïnterviewde vertelt over haar ervaringen van het kamp en over de bevrijding. Men koos ervoor om geen onderzoeksproject op te zetten, maar om zich te concentreren op het verzamelen van de verhalen van mensen vanuit archiveringsoogpunt als basis voor toekomstig onderzoek.
