Hij was daar met een groep van tien man verantwoordelijk voor de verbindingen. Gelegerd in een kapotte oude school richtte deze groep zelf een commando-postje in voor de verbindingen. Het gesprek gaat veel over improviseren in vrij heftig oorlogsgebied en over de terugkerende Koerden in de regio waar deze marinier gelegerd was. De geïnterviewden hebben bijgedragen aan een schat aan informatie voor onder andere beleidsmakers, onderzoekers, media en het geïnteresseerde publiek.</p><p>Onderstaand treft u de links naar de metadata van alle interviews. De  interviews zijn om privacyredenen alleen na toestemming van het Veternanen Instituut toegankelijk.
