Na de oorlog werd hij door de Engelse Expeditionaire Macht uitgezonden naar Indië net na de eerste politionele actie. De geïnterviewde werd KNIL officier, maar koos al snel voor een plaats in het leger bij de TNI. De geïnterviewde vertelt onder andere in op het verweer tegen de Darul Islam en over de ontwikkelingen in het leger tot in de jaren '60.</p><p>1540.2 De geïnterviewde vertelt over de TNI van de jaren '50 en '60 zoals hij die meemaakte. Ook gaat hij in op het terugsturen van de Nederlandse Militaire Missie in 1955 door de communisten.</p><p>1540.3 De geïnterviewde vertelt nogmaals over zijn strijd tegen de Darul Islam. Men koos ervoor om geen onderzoeksproject op te zetten, maar om zich te concentreren op het verzamelen van de verhalen van mensen vanuit archiveringsoogpunt als basis voor toekomstig onderzoek.
