Hij vertelt over de aanvallen van Japan. De geïnterviewde werd krijgsgevangene gemaakt. Hij geeft een beschrijving van de kampen en het werk. Vooral in de kolenmijnen was het werk heel gevaarlijk. Na de bevrijding sloot hij zich aan bij de militaire politie.</p><p>1332.2  Eind 1946 werd de geïnterviewde beëdigd als tweede luitenant. Hij gaat in op het leven aan het front. De Indonesische tegenstanders waren veelal ongeorganiseerde eenheden. De geïnterviewde vertelt over de vuurgevechten tijdens de eerste politionele actie.Tijdens de tweede politionele actie werd de de geïnterviewde met de derde afdeling veldartillerie ingezet als infanterie. De actie werd voortijdig afgebroken en de wapens werden uiteindelijk overgedragen aan de TNI. Men koos ervoor om geen onderzoeksproject op te zetten, maar om zich te concentreren op het verzamelen van de verhalen van mensen vanuit archiveringsoogpunt als basis voor toekomstig onderzoek. Tussen 1997 en 2001 zijn er 1190 interviews met 724 mensen opgenomen, in totaal 2800 uur aan geluidsmateriaal.</p><p>Een overzicht van het project en de interviews in EASY vindt u onder 'Data files'.</p><p>De interviews worden bij DANS duurzaam bewaard, maar worden (voorlopig) door het KITLV zelf ontsloten.
