Peter haalt herinneringen op aan secretaris Jan Waal en zijn onnavolgbare stijl van notuleren. Peter mist die tijden, toen alle nog wat gezelliger leek te zijn. Hij vertelt tegen Cees waaron hij niet meer zo frequent op de vergaderingen komt: veel werk en wat tegenslag in de zaak waren de aanleiding om zich wat terug te trekken.
