Samen met zijn Indonesische vrouw stond hij aan de kant van de republikeinen. De geïnterviewde had onder andere een functie als ambtenaar. De geïnterviewde was nauw betrokken bij de politieke situatie en had contacten met de Republikeinse leiders. De geïnterviewde bekleedde verschillende functies in zijn tijd in Indië. Eind jaren '50 kwam de geïnterviewde terug naar Nederland.</p><p>1495.2 De geïnterviewde vertelt over zijn werkzaamheden voor de ontwerpconstitutie voor de Verenigde Staten van Indonesië. De geïnterviewde gaat in op zijn ervaringen van de politieke ontwikkelingen ten tijde van de politionele acties. Men koos ervoor om geen onderzoeksproject op te zetten, maar om zich te concentreren op het verzamelen van de verhalen van mensen vanuit archiveringsoogpunt als basis voor toekomstig onderzoek.
