De geïnterviewde volgde zijn opleiding bij het Royal Canadian Regiment. Nadat hij was overgeplaatst naar Duitsland kreeg de geïnterviewde te horen dat hij uitgezonden zou worden naar Joegoslavië. Hij vertelt over de strijdende partijen in het gebeid. Een VN-vredesmacht in oorlogsgebeid vond hij zinloos. De geïnterviewde moest leven onder erbarmelijke omstandigheden. De voorbereiding was slecht. De geïnterviewde werd steeds geconfronteerd met geweldsexcessen en spanningen. Wat de bevolking overkwam greep hem erg aan. De geïnterviewde gaat in op de politieke situatie en het grote aantal onschuldige slachtoffers.<br><br>Met de geïnterviewde zijn twee of meer interviews gehouden. De geïnterviewden hebben bijgedragen aan een schat aan informatie voor onder andere beleidsmakers, onderzoekers, media en het geïnteresseerde publiek.</p><p>Onderstaand treft u de links naar de metadata van alle interviews. De  interviews zijn om privacyredenen alleen na toestemming van het Veternanen Instituut toegankelijk.
