Hiervoor werden bijna 70.000 huishoudens geënqueteerd, waarna deze gegevens zijn verrijkt met gegevens van o.a. de Gemeentelijke Basis Administratie- GBA en de Belastingdienst.</p><p>De data mogen uitsluitend worden gebruikt voor onderzoek en statistiek op de thema’s bouwen, wonen en leefomgeving.</p><p>BZK ontwikkelde het WoON2012 in samenwerking met CBS. Het uitleveren van het WoON vindt plaats volgens de richtlijnen van het CBS. Daarom is de viercijferige postcode niet meer opgenomen in het WoON bestand. Bovendien bevat het WoON te weinig respondenten om betrouwbare analyses te doen op dit lage regionale niveau.</p><p>De viercijferige postcode heeft alleen waarde voor het definieren van gebieden op basis van postcodeclusters, of voor het koppelen van extra kenmerken aan het WoON-bestand. Indien hieraan behoefte is kan contact worden opgenomen met BZK (kennispleinwb@minbzk.nl), om te overleggen of zij deze clustering of koppeling kunnen uitvoeren.</p><p>Daarnaast is de postcode wel toegankelijk on site of via remote access faciliteiten bij het CBS.</p><p>Release 1.1 van het WoON2012-bestand vervangt release 1.0. Ten opzichte van de voorgaande versie hebben correcties plaatsgevonden in de vaststelling van de aandachtsgroep voor de huurtoeslag en de belangrijkste inkomensbron van de hoofdkostwinner en de partner. Het onderzoek vervangt vanaf 2006 het WoningBehoefte Onderzoek (WBO) en de Kwalitatieve Woningregistratie (KWR). Sinds 1964 leverden deze onderzoeken de basisinformatie over wonen. Het WoON geeft inzicht in onder andere de samenstelling van huishoudens, de huisvestingssituatie, de woonlasten, de woonwensen, de woning en de woonomgeving.</p><p>Voor medewerkers van overheidsinstellingen en universiteiten is het belangrijk om die versie van het bestand aan te vragen die speciaal voor hen samengesteld is. Medewerkers van andere instellingen kunnen de versie voor overige partijen aanvragen. Studenten kunnen uitsluitend een aanvraag indienen via docent of stagebegeleider. Het is noodzakelijk dat de aanvraag ingediend wordt met het officiële e-mail adres van de organisatie waar de aanvrager werkzaam is.<br>Sinds release 1.5 van 2009 wordt voor de beschikbaarstelling van het bestand niet langer onderscheid gemaakt naar overheid, universiteiten en overige partijen.
