Daar werd hij ondergebracht in de Marine-kazerne, wat een hele cultuurshock was. Koper poetsen, een \"witje\" aan en aangesproken worden als \"baroe\", nieuweling. De radar van de KLu op Nieuw Guinea was oud en had nog in de Tweede Wereldoorlog in een woestijn gestaan. Er moest veel gesleuteld worden om alle apparatuur gaande te houden. De verhoudingen met de Papoea’s waren goed. De geïnterviewden hebben bijgedragen aan een schat aan informatie voor onder andere beleidsmakers, onderzoekers, media en het geïnteresseerde publiek.</p><p>Onderstaand treft u de links naar de metadata van alle interviews. De  interviews zijn om privacyredenen alleen na toestemming van het Veternanen Instituut toegankelijk.
