Aanvullend komen onderwerpen aan bod als de mate waarin betreffende personen worden belast in hun rol als mantelzorger of vrijwilliger in de zorg, de mate waarin gebruik wordt gemaakt van ondersteunende faciliteiten of middelen en de bereidheid tot het bieden van zorg. De centrale vraag van het onderzoek luidt: Wat is de feitelijke omvang van de informele zorg, bij welke groepen is de bereidheid om (meer of andere) informele zorg te geven groter dan bij anderen en met welke kenmerken hangt het (willen) geven samen?
