Toen Nederland mobiliseerde in 1939, moest deze man alle gevorderde voertuigen uit de omgeving legergroen schilderen. Daar hielden het familiebedrijf en enkele zakenpartners een leuk centje aan over, want hij kreeg carte blanche in hoe hij die klus aanpakte. Later moest hij op bureau Heiligerberg in Amersfoort een geheime brief oppikken, die hij op zijn borst geplakt naar Bilthoven moest brengen, naar de commandant van het veldleger. Als chauffeur deed hij in de oorlogsdagen dienst bij de evacuaties. De geïnterviewden hebben bijgedragen aan een schat aan informatie voor onder andere beleidsmakers, onderzoekers, media en het geïnteresseerde publiek.</p><p>Onderstaand treft u de links naar de metadata van alle interviews. De  interviews zijn om privacyredenen alleen na toestemming van het Veternanen Instituut toegankelijk.
