Hij kreeg te horen dat hij troepenchauffeur in Nieuw-Guinea zou worden. Hij kon helemaal niet rijden, maar kreeg de rijopleiding van dienst en moest meteen zijn inentingen gaan halen. Zo werd hij één van de laatste Nederlanders die weggingen van Nieuw Guinea toen het eiland was overgedragen aan de Verenigde Naties. De geïnterviewden hebben bijgedragen aan een schat aan informatie voor onder andere beleidsmakers, onderzoekers, media en het geïnteresseerde publiek.</p><p>Onderstaand treft u de links naar de metadata van alle interviews. De  interviews zijn om privacyredenen alleen na toestemming van het Veternanen Instituut toegankelijk.
