Ze werd als jong meisje geïnterneerd. De geïnterviewde vertelt over haar kampervaringen, onder andere van kamp Bangkinang. Vervolgens gaat zij in op de beangstigende bersiap tijd.</p><p>1688.1 De geïnterviewde vertelt over de jaren '50 zij trouwde een KL-onderofficier en vertrok naar Nieuw-Guinea. De geïnterviewde vertelt over haar verblijf in Sorong. Later verblijft ze in Hollandia waar zij werk kreeg. De geïnterviewde vertelt tot slot over de spannende situatie in Nieuw-Guinea begin jaren '60 en gaat in op het vertrek naar Nederland.</p><p>De echtgenoot van de geïnterviewde is ook geïnterviewd voor het SMGI-project. Men koos ervoor om geen onderzoeksproject op te zetten, maar om zich te concentreren op het verzamelen van de verhalen van mensen vanuit archiveringsoogpunt als basis voor toekomstig onderzoek.
