Van 15 mei tot en met 29 juni 2017 konden de respondenten de vragenlijst online invullen. De respondenten die hebben deelgenomen aan dit onderzoek zijn geworven via de website en nieuwsbrief van Studenten.net en de social media-kanalen van Nibud en DUO. Daarnaast zijn circa 300 respondenten afkomstig uit het panel van Opinieland van Survey Sampling International. De resultaten zijn gewogen op geslacht, leeftijd en opleidingsniveau. Het onderzoek is mogelijk gemaakt door het ministerie van Onderwijs, Cultuur en Wetenschap en ING Nederland.
