Lester en Diederik zijn echter ondernemer geworden om het product waarin ze geloofden nieuw leven in te blazen. Lester en Diederik hebben een fietsenhandel die zich toelegt op het merk Rih. Een merk waarop Olympisch kampioenen en wereldkampioenen hebben gezeten, maar dat volgens Lester en Diederik nu een andere clientèle trekt: recreatieve, competitieve vijf-en-veertigplussers. Lester heeft het vak van fietsenmaker en framebouwer geleerd bij de inmiddels overleden Wim van<br>der Kaaij. Meneer van der Kaaij was niet altijd zo veranderingsgezind en uit het interview blijkt dat Lester en Diederik dat soms als lastig hebben ervaren. Diederik heeft in het bedrijf vooral het zakelijke gedeelte op zich genomen. Lester blijkt de man te zijn met de technische vaardigheden en<br>inzicht. Allebei erkennen ze dat de Rih-fiets een bepaald materieel erfgoed is en dat de cultuur eromheen deel uitmaakt van het immaterieel erfgoed.<br>Het Bazenbondje sluit daar in die zin bij aan ze de cultuur en de doelstellingen kunnen waarderen. Dat heeft meerwaarde omdat het past binnen de Nieuwendammerdijk, een plek die ze bewust hebben gekozen voor hun bedrijf.
