Berry, familie van Jan de Ruiter, draagt het Bazenbondje een warm hart toe. De laagdrempeligheid van ‘Ons Belang’ vindt hij belangrijk. (Kleine) ondernemers op de Nieuwendammerdijk die elkaar tegenkomen en elkaar opdrachten gunnen. Bij het grote Veban, waar ook multinationals netwerken, werkt dat minder informeel.<br>Daarnaast vindt Berry dat de ‘ziektekas’ zoals hij dat noemt moet blijven bestaan. Hij weet niet precies hoe, maar denkt dat daar wel manieren op te vinden zijn. Hij vindt dat als het grondbeginsel van ‘Ons Belang’ wegvalt er een belangrijk stuk historie verdwijnt. De statuten moeten zoveel mogelijk hetzelfde blijven.
