Ze had gewerkt als gouvernante. Na de Japanse inval vluchtte zij naar Bandoeng, maar haar man moest achterblijven en overleefde de gevangenis niet. De geïnterviewde vond toen troost in de bijbel.</p><p>1145.2 De geïnterviewde vertelt hier nog even over de tijd met haar man, die in de mijnbouw werkte. Tijdens de bezetting kwam de geïnterviewde in een kamp. In 1946 kwam de geïnterviewde via Australië naar Nederland. Hier weidde zij haar leven uiteindelijk aan het evangeliseren. Hierdoor kwam zij uiteindelijk weer in Indonesië. Zij vertelt over de stichting die zij hielp op te richten. De geïnterviewde zorgde voor bijzondere genezingen en verdrijvingen van kwade geesten en kreeg veel aanhang tijdens haar bijeenkomsten.</p><p>Haar vroege werkgever is ook geïnterviewd voor het SMGI-project. Men koos ervoor om geen onderzoeksproject op te zetten, maar om zich te concentreren op het verzamelen van de verhalen van mensen vanuit archiveringsoogpunt als basis voor toekomstig onderzoek. Tussen 1997 en 2001 zijn er 1190 interviews met 724 mensen opgenomen, in totaal 2800 uur aan geluidsmateriaal.</p><p>Een overzicht van het project en de interviews in EASY vindt u onder 'Data files'.</p><p>De interviews worden bij DANS duurzaam bewaard, maar worden (voorlopig) door het KITLV zelf ontsloten.
