Haar vader was militair en zijn werk zorgde voor verhuizingen. Ze haalt haar hoofdakte in Indië. Ze vertelt over lesgeven in Indië en gaat in op de gebruiken in Indië. Met haar man komt zij in een kleine plaatst te wonen in Indië.</p><p>1202.2 De geïnterviewde gaat nogmaals in op haar opleiding in Nederland en op het lesgeven in Indië. Tijdens de oorlog is haar man in dienst. Zij moet uiteindelijk evacueren. De geïnterviewde beschrijft haar ervaring van toen ze haar man probeerde te contacten die in de gevangenis zat. Zij woonde zelf met een grote groep vrouwen in één huis. De geïnterviewde vertelt over de verplaatsing van het kamp waar haar man in zat. Zij zelf kwam ook in verschillende kampen en werd erg ziek. Ze beschrijft hoe bij de verhuizingen mensen zoveel mogelijk spullen probeerden mee te nemen. Men koos ervoor om geen onderzoeksproject op te zetten, maar om zich te concentreren op het verzamelen van de verhalen van mensen vanuit archiveringsoogpunt als basis voor toekomstig onderzoek. Tussen 1997 en 2001 zijn er 1190 interviews met 724 mensen opgenomen, in totaal 2800 uur aan geluidsmateriaal.</p><p>Een overzicht van het project en de interviews in EASY vindt u onder 'Data files'.</p><p>De interviews worden bij DANS duurzaam bewaard, maar worden (voorlopig) door het KITLV zelf ontsloten.
