De geïnterviewde was erg leergierig en vertelt over wat zij als kind al leerde over de verschillende bevolkingsgroepen in Indië. De geïnterviewde gaat in op de onafhankelijk van Indonesië en hoe zij dat ervoer. De geïnterviewde schets de situatie waarin zij moeilijke keuzes moest maken voor haar man en kinderen.</p><p>1132.2 De geïnterviewde vertelt over de cultuur en rituelen zoals zij die kent van haar jeugd. De geïnterviewde gaat in hoe de Japanse bezetting dingen in haar leven veranderde. To slot geeft ze haar visie op hoe de Chinese bevolkingsgroep in Indië na de inval in de steek werd gelaten.</p><p>1132.3 De geïnterviewde vertelt over de regels die werden ingesteld door de Japanners. In deze tijd zat zij op school. Ze vertelt over de veranderingen die zij hier merkte. De geïnterviewde merkt op dat zij zich eigenlijk veilig voelde onder het Japanse bewind, omdat het uitbreken van etnisch geweld werd tegengegaan. De geïnterviewde gaat in op hoe het gebrek aan vrouwenemancipatie en de heersende politiek haar leven hebben beïnvloed. Men koos ervoor om geen onderzoeksproject op te zetten, maar om zich te concentreren op het verzamelen van de verhalen van mensen vanuit archiveringsoogpunt als basis voor toekomstig onderzoek.
