Ze bleef tijdens de bezetting buiten het kamp een deel van de familie werd geïnterneerd. Ze was scholier. In 1946 keerde ze met haar moeder naar Nederland en in 1949 weer terug naar Indië. Zij maakte haar school af en ging werken. In 1953 keerde ze weer terug naar Nederland.</p><p>1361.2 De geïnterviewde vertelt verder over het leven en de familie in Indië. Tijdens de bezetting bleef zij vooral thuis. Haar moeder gaf zo nu en dan stiekem les. Af en toe woonden er ook anderen bij hen in huis. Ze woonde vlakbij het Tjideng-kamp en de Japanse kazerne. Na een verblijf in Nederland keerde de geïnterviewde in 1949 weer terug naar Indië. Men koos ervoor om geen onderzoeksproject op te zetten, maar om zich te concentreren op het verzamelen van de verhalen van mensen vanuit archiveringsoogpunt als basis voor toekomstig onderzoek. Tussen 1997 en 2001 zijn er 1190 interviews met 724 mensen opgenomen, in totaal 2800 uur aan geluidsmateriaal.</p><p>Een overzicht van het project en de interviews in EASY vindt u onder 'Data files'.</p><p>De interviews worden bij DANS duurzaam bewaard, maar worden (voorlopig) door het KITLV zelf ontsloten.
