Zijn standplaats was Biak, en in het interview vertelt hij over de hoge mate waarin de mariniers op elkaar waren aangewezen tijdens de patrouilles. Ook vertelt hij over de lokale bevolking, meest Papoea’s. Vanaf 15 januari 1962 liep de spanning op. Deze man zat toen op het eiland Batanta, ten noorden van Sorong. Op zee was er een confrontatie met drie torpedoboten van de Indonesische marine. Iedereen kreeg drie maanden diensttijdverlenging. De geïnterviewden hebben bijgedragen aan een schat aan informatie voor onder andere beleidsmakers, onderzoekers, media en het geïnteresseerde publiek.</p><p>Onderstaand treft u de links naar de metadata van alle interviews. De  interviews zijn om privacyredenen alleen na toestemming van het Veternanen Instituut toegankelijk.
