Hij ging bij de Legervoorlichtingsdienst. De tropen maakten een onvergetelijke indruk. Hij had de taak communicatie te onderhouden door middel van radio en krant. Hij zette zijn vraagtekens bij de wrede acties van het leger, maar werd hier veelal buiten gehouden omdat hij bij de voorlichtingsdienst werkte en dus niet direct veel te maken het met het harde strijdtoneel. Na de soevereiniteitsoverdracht kwam hij in goed contact met TNI-officieren, die beschaafder waren dan hij dacht. Hij ging studeren in Leiden en kwam bij de Hap van Jan, wat bekend stond als een ruw gezelschap. De geïnterviewden hebben bijgedragen aan een schat aan informatie voor onder andere beleidsmakers, onderzoekers, media en het geïnteresseerde publiek.</p><p>Onderstaand treft u de links naar de metadata van alle interviews.
