All data were collected by Dr. J Fourie.</p><p>Article abstract:<br>The digitisation and transcription of rich archival sources and the use of statistical techniques combined with modern computing power, have, over the last decade, allowed social scientists to reinterpret eighteenthcentury Cape history.
