Haar vader had een discriminerende houding naar Indonesiërs. De geïnterviewde beschrijft hoe zij en haar familie de oorlog ervoer. Ze bleef buiten het kamp. Ze vertelt wat er werd gedaan om aan eten of andere middelen te komen.</p><p>1272.2 De geïnterviewde vertelt over de baan die ze had tijdens de bezetting. Ze werkte voor een chinees. De geïnterviewde vertelt hoe zij moest schuilen tijdens een aanval in de bersiap tijd. Haar leven was erg veranderd, zij was getrouwd en moeder. Haar man was in dienst. De ervaringen in Indië waren voor de geïnterviewde reden genoeg om naar Nederland te gaan. Men koos ervoor om geen onderzoeksproject op te zetten, maar om zich te concentreren op het verzamelen van de verhalen van mensen vanuit archiveringsoogpunt als basis voor toekomstig onderzoek.
