Tijdelijk werkte de geïnterviewde als onderwijzeres.</p><p>1685.2 De geïnterviewde vertelt verder over haar ervaringen van het leven in Indië.  Toen de oorlog in Nederlands-Indië uitbrak werd het gezin geïnterneerd. De geïnterviewde vertelt over haar kampervaringen. Na de bevrijding verbleef de geïnterviewde een tijd in Australië. Na de soevereiniteitsoverdracht verbleef de geïnterviewde te Medan, waar haar man geplaatst was. Men koos ervoor om geen onderzoeksproject op te zetten, maar om zich te concentreren op het verzamelen van de verhalen van mensen vanuit archiveringsoogpunt als basis voor toekomstig onderzoek.
