In 1946 vertrok zij naar Batavia. Ze kwam te werken voor de Militair Geneeskundige Dienst. De geïnterviewde gaat in op haar werkzaamheden in onder andere het militair hospitaal. Ze trouwt een militair en woont tot eind jaren '50 in Indië. De geïnterviewde vertelt over haar ervaringen van de anti-Nederlandse houding in Indië en van de onrustige en gevaarlijke situatie op straat eind jaren '50.</p><p>1478.2 De geïnterviewde vertelt over het werk van haar man voor verschillende ondernemingen. Men koos ervoor om geen onderzoeksproject op te zetten, maar om zich te concentreren op het verzamelen van de verhalen van mensen vanuit archiveringsoogpunt als basis voor toekomstig onderzoek.
