Het was de tijd van de algehele mobilisatie, en dit verhaal gaat onder meer over wat het betekende een jonge, net gehuwde vrouw te zijn in de tijd van de Duitse bezetting. In de oorlogsdagen van mei 1940 was haar niet duidelijk of haar verloofde nog in leven was. Later, in de hongerwinter, werd hun eerste kind geboren. Ze redde het deze moeilijke jaren door te komen door nauw samen te werken met haar buurvrouw, die ook een kleintje had. De geïnterviewden hebben bijgedragen aan een schat aan informatie voor onder andere beleidsmakers, onderzoekers, media en het geïnteresseerde publiek.</p><p>Onderstaand treft u de links naar de metadata van alle interviews. De  interviews zijn om privacyredenen alleen na toestemming van het Veternanen Instituut toegankelijk.
