Het onderwijs wordt verzorgd door een school voor  voortgezet speciaal onderwijs voor jeugdigen met ernstige gedragsproblemen (VSO-ZMOK) verbonden aan een Regionaal expertisecentrum (REC) in de regio. Om de belangen van het onderwijs voor jongeren JJI’s en in de gesloten jeugdzorg en hun instellingen te behartigen is er een Taakgroep onderwijs in gesloten jeugdinrichtingen.
