Het keerde met zijn familie op een gegeven naar Nederland.Tijdens de oorlog studeerde hij. Hij werd toen in Duitsland tewerkgesteld. De geïnterviewde, nu getrouwd, keerde uiteindelijk terug naar Indië en ging daar aan de slag in een hoge technische functie. Hij vertelt over het werk en de hechte samenwerking. Van de politionele acties heeft de geïnterviewde niks gemerkt, wel kwam hij eens in aanraking met de TNI.</p><p>De echtgenote van de geïnterviewde is ook geïnterviewd voor het SMGI-project. Men koos ervoor om geen onderzoeksproject op te zetten, maar om zich te concentreren op het verzamelen van de verhalen van mensen vanuit archiveringsoogpunt als basis voor toekomstig onderzoek.
