Ze vertelt over de gebruiken en gaat in op de scheiding tussen de bevolkingsgroepen. De geïnterviewde beschrijft vervolgens wat men moest doen voor de Japanners tijdens de bezetting.</p><p>1275.2 De geïnterviewde vertelt hoe zij en haar familie tijdens de bezetting het hoofd boven water hield. Zijzelf werkte voor een Japanner. De bersiap tijd was een stuk gevaarlijker. De geïnterviewde had dit nooit zien aankomen. de geïnterviewde vertelt hoe familie werd opgezocht en de schooltijd weer werd hervat. Men koos ervoor om geen onderzoeksproject op te zetten, maar om zich te concentreren op het verzamelen van de verhalen van mensen vanuit archiveringsoogpunt als basis voor toekomstig onderzoek.
